MECHS is finally here! It is a
dream come true. The idea for a
mixed day school in Nairobi was
hatched way back by our founding
father, the late second president
of the Republic of Kenya, His
Excellency Daniel T. Arap Moi.
We opened our doors on 13th
January 2020 with Form one and
Form two classes. Our classes
are generally manageable, with a
maximum of 18 students per class.
This enables close monitoring of
the learners by their teacher.
MECHS is sent to support the
government’s policy to realize
100% transition of pupils to
secondary schools. More so, there
is the need for a smooth transition
of our primary school grade 4
pupils to the junior high school
(grade 7) come 2023.
MECHS is an institution that
is geared towards harnessing
the potential of all its students
regardless of their cultural or

religious affiliation, as our school that will result in ladies and

happen practically.
In a span of two months after the
school opened, we participated
in various co-curricular activities
including drama and science
and engineering fair where
we performed excellently, to
represent the country at a higher
level-nationals and regionals
respectively. Other co-curricular
activities include swimming,
soccer, music and club activities
such as maths, scouting, and chess
among others.
The school has engaged a qualified
and experienced team to nurture
the child. Discipline is a core
value, and as a team, we inculcate
self-discipline and moral values.
We focus on holistic education
gentlemen who will face the world
with confidence, humility, courage
and honesty.
As we star this journey, we want
to thank our founding patron, His
Excellency the second president
of the Republic of Kenya, Daniel
T. Arap Moi who believed in
education as a pedestal that would
ensure that Kenya is a healthy and
wealthy nation, and the only sure
way of attaining peace amongst
us, the only equalizer between
the haves and have-nots to quote
Senator Gideon Moi, on the
unveiling of the school logo.
